Progress Pride Flag

The Progress Pride flag combines many versions of the Pride flag; placing an emphasis on inclusion, progression and unity. The flag mirrors the evolving nature of the LGBTQ+ community and society as a whole.

Did you know:

• The flag was created in 2018 by Daniel Quasar who wanted to honour queer people of color and the transgender community.
• Not only the black and brown stripes are a reference to the 2017 Philadelphia pride flag, they also represent those living with HIV/AIDS, people who have passed from the virus and the overall stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS that is still present today.

The colours represent...

• Black and brown stripes represent black and Lantinx queer communities
• Transgender flag symbolises the transgender community
• Red stands for life
• Orange shows healing
• Yellow stands for sunlight
• Green symbolises nature
• Indigo represents serenity
• Violet shows the spirit of the LGBTQ+ community
